Guided Holiday House Tours of our 1815 Federal style House.
Now that the holiday season is here, Historic Rosedale is offering guided holiday tours of our 1815 home. We are excited to interpret some of the 20th century history of the home and will be decorating it as it would have looked circa 1945.
These tours will celebrate the Davidson family, who were the last residents to live in the home: Craig Davidson, his wife Louise Heagy Davidson, and their two daughters Mary Louise and Alice. Visitors will learn about what the property looked like in the late 1940s, as well as typical post-war Christmas traditions. There will also be a limited-time, special exhibition of first-edition children’s Christmas books which are the result of a partnership with UNC Charlotte Special Collections.
To protect the health and safety of our visitors and staff, these tours are by RESERVATION ONLY. We will not be accepting “walk up” tours. Additionally, we will be limiting our tours to only 16 participants. We are asking participants to practice social distancing and you are required to wear your own face coverings for further safety. Hand sanitizer will be available and rest room facilities will be open at 50% capacity. Arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour and check in at the welcome center.
This event takes place rain or shine – no refunds will be given. Purchase your tickets online and bring proof of your receipt -on your phone or printed – this receipt will serve as your ticket. No other tickets will be issued.
