Big Backyard Bird Count

Historic Rosedale is a registered site for the 2019 Big Backyard Bird Count this year and we welcome anyone who would like to participate in this highly recognized Audubon Society event to visit our 8.9 acre urban green space and National Wildlife Federation certified bird-friendly habitat.

We suggest you wear warm clothes and bring your binoculars as well as gloves and hats (maybe a thermos of hot chocolate and a blanket to sit on as well) as February is not known for its warm and hospitable weather. You can stay for anywhere from 15 minutes to 3 hours. Our head gardener will also be on hand answering questions about birds, nests, and feathers! 

The event is  free and we will provide the needed observation forms.

We ask that you sign up ahead of time to ensure that we have enough tracking forms for all guests.

Participants that sign up by February 11 will receive a coupon for buy one get one free admission to a 1:30 house tour.
