Residents of the North Carolina piedmont found themselves preparing for war but praying for peace in late November 1941. When the tragic events of Dec. 7, 1941 unfolded in Pearl Harbor, it became clear that the United States would be un-able to avoid a role in the conflict.
The families living and working at Rosedale ex-perienced the sacrifice, grief, and triumph that was the common experience of all
Americans during World War II. Come experience the plantation house filled with artifacts from the war years and see the contributions of those who lived and worked at Rosedale to the war effort.
