Satisfy your fascination with the past by sharing history with the community at beautiful ante-bellum Rosedale Plantation!

Here's a chance to work in a setting steeped in Charlotte history. Learn about your heritage and share your excitement with an interested public.

We will give you the tools to become a knowledgeable and gracious interpreter of the past.

Volunteers contribute to the success of Historic Rosedale Plantation in many ways.

  • Interpretive Volunteers (Public Tour Docent, School Tour Docent and Unheard Voices Docent)
     

  • General Duty Volunteers (Special Events Docent, Garden Assistant, Clerical Assistant, Tour Host, Hospitality Assistant, Research Assistant and Jack of All Trades)

An extensive six week training program provides a wealth of information on Charlotte's history.

Interpretive exercises hone skills needed to share knowledge in an informative and enjoyable manner.

Training is offered Thursdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
