Do
you believe in spirits?
On Saturday, October 6th at 7:00pm
Historic Rosedale will be welcoming author Stephanie Burt Williams,
using her skills as a former docent, Williams will host a spirit walk
through Rosedale where Williams and others have reported unusual
phenomena. She will also present and read from her books Ghost
Stories of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County and Wicked Charlotte.
Ms Williams will be available after the presentation to sign her latest
book,
Haunted Hills: Ghost Legends of Highlands and Cashiers,
published by History Press.
Last year The Charlotte Observer
wrote a Halloween article about the strange phenomena at Rosedale with
information gathered with Williams. Ms Williams included spirits
that reside at Rosedale in her first book.
Stephanie Burt Williams is a fourth
generation Charlottean. She is a regional collector of ghost
stories, Southern folklore, a former docent at Historic Rosedale, and
was an American Studies Instructor at UNC Charlotte. She currently
is the assistant editor of Low Country Living magazine in
Charleston, South Carolina, and the Niche Division Assistant Editor for
The Post and Courier. .
Admission to the presentation is $8.00 per
person, $5.00 for seniors/students, and is limited to 40 people. |
